“He’s known around here as the ‘People’s Champ’ right…what more do I need to say?! Or, rather, what more do you want to know?

Jack is a humble, kind and exceedingly talented young man, who from a very young age was THE kid with the talent and flare, that to this day continues to blow away even those who see him surf most. Usually, a gift like this is captured and overcoached somewhere along the way, but Jack’s mellow personality comes from his mellow parents who let Jack be, and so with that his surfing is still getting better and better. Currently the South Island Men’s Champ and top ranked surfer from the South Island on the National Series, Jack would rather chase a heavy winter swell into hail and snow to get barreled with a few mates than pursue the yellow jersey (a la the national crown), or risk losing an apprenticeship with some of the top builders in Dunedin to chase a few weeks of swell at Desert Point. Needless to say, Jack is the kind of guy you want to buy a beer for at the end of the week, and so keeping his job is no worries in the end. Always there for his mates and always smiling, Jack is someone you’re happy to see get the best wave of the day. He’ll probably surf it better than you would have anyway.”

"For the past four years I’ve been using SurfEars. The decision to switch from the sticky stuff I used before saved both my ears and the frustration from trying to get it out of my hair. My SurfEars makes it possible for me to still hear and enjoy a good yarn out the back waiting for a wave. Always fully aware that my ears are protected." -
