“Every so often you see a surfer who you know is going to be great. It’s not just the obvious talent they display at a young age, but rather there’s a look in the eye, and a feeling of intensity and determination that emanates into the lineup around them. Alexis Owen has that energy, and along with his equally committed family of surfers, they have honed their skills to new levels at their local beach Warrington in Otago.
Overcoming a severe elbow injury and being told he wouldn’t be able to surf again at a young age, is just one of the many feats for young Alexis; being the highest scoring athlete at numerous National Surfing Championships across all divisions is another. Not to mention the countless Regional and National Titles he’s racked up in both his age group, and in those above, Alexis at 16 years of age holds far more trophies than most and is not ready to stop there. A recent 3rd Place in the ISA 2024 World Championships is a sure sign of more good things to come from NZ’s most dominate young surfer. Watch this space.”

"I surf everyday in the cold waters around Dunedin. Wearing surf ears gives me confidence that there will be no issues with my ears now, or as I get older. They are light, easy to put in and most importantly, they are comfortable during my surfs. I can still hear what is going on around me clearly while keeping the cold water out. They are good and long may they keep Surfer’s ear away." -
